Project Funding from June 2013 till September 2014

In the project “Research Communication in the Semantic Web”, the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB) and Leipzig University Library worked together with the innovative company Avantgarde Labs and the Research Group AKSW at the Leipzig Institute for Applied Informatics (InfAI) developing a tool for the intuitive integration of library data with high-quality data from the Linked Open Data cloud. The project was funded by the EU and the Federal State of Saxony from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

A second direct outcome of the project was a tool for the management of electronic resources in libraries:

D:SWARM has been continuously developed by SLUB Dresden and contributors of the open source community after the initial funding period.
