Research Communication in the Semantic Web
In this project, the Saxon State and University Library Dresden (SLUB) and Leipzig University Library work together with the innovative company Avantgarde Labs and the Research Group AKSW at the Leipzig Institute for Applied Informatics (InfAI) developing a tool for the intuitive integration of library data with high-quality data from the Linked Open Data cloud.
Data Management Platform (DMP) for the Automatic Linking of Library Data
Our goal is to implement a scalable, sustainable intelligent data management platform for integrating, linking and semanticizing data from all sorts of sources and accumulating it in RDF and any other output format for presentation purposes. Especially important for us is a high degree of flexibility of the platform. We will achieve this by relying on principles of software complementarity and data interoperability. Our software will be operable by librarians who are neither programmers nor IT specialists.

Electronic Resource Management Based on Linked Data (ERM)
As a proof of concept and as a first use case we are developing a management system for electronic documents. This system will efficiently handle all licencing and budgeting tasks and make electronic resources intuitively managable on article level. The project runs from June 2013 till September 2014 and is funded by the EU and the Federal State of Saxony from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
